I have run eRecovery Management up to the very last point and it stops progress at 99% under "Updating System". It has been nearly two hours without further progress. What can I do to complete the system restore process?

try to press CTRL+left SHIFT+ESC
and check on task manager if any application is stuck or if any windows error is in background.

Tried your suggestion, but nothing happened. Chatted with Acer tech support and their only suggestion was to purchase recovery discs from them. Do you think that will resolve the problem?
By the way, when I turned off my system and restarted it, it went through the following process: Starting Windows, Setup is updating registry settings, Setup is starting services. Then a window pops up that says, "Windows could not start the installation process".
