My father recently picked up this model which comes with Windows8 but absolutely hates it so he asked me to put windows 7 on his machine which I have done a million times before.

After booting from the windows 7 the computer will lock up at the Starting Windows Screen. I have tried even buring a copy of my legit Win7 CD to see if that was the problem and no luck. I have tried removing the ram and even tried another cd-rom. I am at a lost on why this will not work.

To make mattters worse I even wiped all the recovery partitions on the drive so I can't even install windows 8 anymore.

In BIOS:
Set a supervisor password.
Disable secure boot.
Switch from UEFI to Legacy and save.
Now enter BIOS again and clear the supervisor password.

Thanks for the info but where do I find the option to switch from UEFI to Legacy? The bios version I'm running is 2.15.1236.

I even tried using a totaly different hardrive and still windows locks up so I"m assuming it is the bios causing this issue.

I'm unable to find any information on your model but if you cannot find a BIOS entry for UEFI/Legacy, you should have an entry named 'Launch CSM' or similar. 'CSM' = 'Compatibility Support Module'. Switch this to 'enabled', 'always', 'yes' or whatever.

Yes, the BIOS has locked the system. Replacing the HDD will make no difference.

How did you get the system to boot from the DVD?  I have ATC-605 and I need to put Win 7 on it and can't get it to boot to DVD?  Any help is appreciated...

How do I get past the windows boot manager.  Thats to problem I'm having...   i need it to check the DVD not use windows boot manager.  Thanks...
