I read somewhere it supports only 4gb, but that sounds low. Surely it supports more. If only 4gb, why only 4? Isn't this a 64bit machine?

Thanks for the info. I don't know what motherboard is in it without pulling out the box and tearing apart my instllation. My computer is an Acer Aspire X1301. Its motherboard is listed as model eMachines DA061-087L. This appears to be a proprietary motherboard made exclusively for Acer as very little info is available for it.
