Couldnt find an email contact for Acer, Someone feel free to contact them or not I dont care. I bought one of there pieces of crap thinking hey this is a nice base for a noob to upgrade on, so I pull the *** apart and yank the power supply thinking easy upgrade, Nah I take it with me to the local electronics store, and no ones ever seen that type of power supply. Come to find out you cant even upgrade it.
So, I put everything back in, sealed up, brought it back to the store and told them they could have there garbage back. I bought me a computer I could actually upgrade. And guess what? it did come with your proprietary garbage.
Telling everyone I know not to touch your junk.

I'm sorry that the Acer you purchased was unable to meet your needs. I don't know specifically what desktop you had, but we don't generally use proprietary components on desktops. That of course changes quickly when you start dealing with midsize, small form factor and nettops.
Personally, I would discourage people from purchasing a prebuilt system with the expectation of doing major changes, these systems are extensively tested and designed to work in the configuration it was shipped in. Adding video cards that may require more power from the power supply than what we provide creates a 2nd upgrade requirement, and as the case you described. It may not always be as easy as swapping it out for one off the shelf.
