I have had to reformat a drive and do a dvd installation of W7hpx64. Unfortunately the network drivers from the Acer website will not configure the network adapter. I have looked everywhere and I cannot find adapter/network drivers that will work. I haven't much luck identifying the hardware either.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you installed the Chipset drivers?

I assume you are referring to the Ethernet driver as opposed to the WiFi.

I can find only one version of the driver - 11.8.74.0.

Does the driver install? Is it showing in Device Manager as working correctly?

Would you please expand on the statement '... will not configure the network adapter.'.
