Recovery did not finish

I tried to recovery my desktop with the option to keep user files by using recovery CD. It working 8 hr but did not finish. It stacked at 99% percent Windows Update.

I always advise my good friends to copy their documents to a flash stick or portable HDD and then run a full windows recovery.

Sounds like you may wish to do the same thing. Stuck at 99% is no good.

If the recovery process has stuck at 99%, you will need to re-do the recovery process. The option of keeping files takes a little longer than the destructive one, but should complete 100%.

I think that 8 hr. is enough long to finish restore.
