Acer Veriton N2110G (Windows 7 embedded) thin client was brought back to me for some additional configuration.  I plugged in my Dell mouse and Dell keyboard and was able to my work.  However, when I returned it to the active site and plugged the Acer mouse and keyboard provided with the system, I could logon, but after a few seconds, Windows attempted and FAILED to install the device drivers for the Acer keyboard and mouse.  Result was a dead mouse and keyboard.  Safe Mode gave same results.

Brought back to my shop, plugged my Dell mouse and keyboard in and everything's fine again.

Clearly, something in the way of a mouse and keyboard driver got lost, became defective, or was infected by poltergeists.  By the way, FBWF was disabled during this whole clusterbleep.

So I come to the well of knowledge...any ideas how I can beyond this without reloading the OS?
