Recently purchased an Aspire X1470-UR26. The words on the installed RAM stick say 'HDDR3-1600'. I can find DDR3-1600 on the market. Or does it take a special DDR3? Also, there are color-coded banks. In which one would I add another 4GB stick? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi gallicbear!

Install Crucial's scanner. This will scan your machine & advise on the correct RAM for it. The link is for the UK site, but you can change to your country by clicking the flag in the top right hand corner.

The slots are colour coded because they are "dual channel". If you have one stick in one colour, the second stick must also go in that colour.
