Hi All,

I ran a diagnostics for test the Ram and Hard Drive it turns out that the Hard Drive is failing, Can i Use the Acer Recovery Disks to format the new Hard Drive to factory condition (Operating System, Drivers and Programs Including partitions) same as old Hard Drive, As I have been told the Acer Recovery Disk will only work with OEM Hard Drive.

Yes you can load the OS on the new HDD using the recovery discs with no problems.

I just did a HDD replacement, and i ran into an issue.

It could not finish the windows 7 installation, error message with OEM

Your post seems to be truncated! What happened? I am getting an message from my eMachine ET1331G that the hard drive is failing. How can I find out what kind of hard drive to replace it with- EIDE, SATA, PATA what?
