Sorry, I regisetered half way through. I am doing uni and my lectures are on a MP3 disc. I have had no problems listening to these discs previously on my old computer but on my new one it won't play. The error comes up as "file format isn't supported". When I try to change this to Windows Media I get this message "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file." What is the problem, can I fix it (I am computer literate but that is all), can it be fixed. Not real happy about this.

Also, no sound weither on any music CDs, no sound on DVDs and games. What am I doing wrong
