Any one could help me with how to turn off the camera with windows 8 once it is turned on it is always on unable to open and error msg "camera is opened by another application "

Not running in task manager

alt+f4 -not working

not available in top left side corner

Hi, I am experiencing the same problem and have tried some of the techniques you have tried but with no success.Ihave noticed that if I leave my computer on but is inactive after a period of time it shuts itself off but when I reboot after turning off the camera beomes active again. Have you got any answers on your related question?

I never use a web camera, so I just dissabled it in device manager

I found the Answer it here

in

Task Bar -> show hidden icons->find a option which says gesture control - > give a right click - > close .

turning off the gesture control disables the auto camera on issue.
