Looking to upgrade the RAM on my mom's system. I can't find an info on the type or how much RAM the system will take. The only info I can find is DDR2, but that's it. Anyone know the answer or a link to where I can find the answer?
Thanks

If I'm reading this correctly, is it each slot will support up to 1GB, but the system itself will also only support 1GB? Or each slot will support 1GB and the sytem will support up to 4GB?

Hi..
This model will support only maximum memory up to 1 GB
There are four DIMM Slot
You may install
256 X 4
516 X 2
1 Gb
Each slots supports 1GB, howvere you won't be able to install 4 GB memory for this model.

Thank you for your assistance. It would appear that her system is already maxed out. The only way to squeeze out a little more will be to add a dedicated video card to free up what the Integrated GPU is using. Luckily, I have one laying around.

I have the same problem trying to get my Dads Ase 380-ED 420A unit to run better. My nephew said the microsoft vista was taking more than 600MB only leaving 400MB for operational running. Is there nothing that can be done . If it already has 1GB ram?

I see in another reply that one can chage the video card to free up some ram is this a expensive option as new computer are not that much these days but my father as usual resits any change so would like to know the options and cost thanks Randell
