HDMI input for Acer Aspire Z5710

I have connected my cable tv (Singtel Mio) set-top box to this computer via the hdmi port, hoping to use the display to view tv, but nothing happens.

Can anyone tell me how to get the display activated to show hdmi inputs?

If you have HDMI, it would be HDMI out, not an input.

For TV signal support, you would need the version with a TV Tuner option.

If you can provide the part number of your unit, I would be happy to look it up to see specifically.
