Hello,

I appreciate you can drop by at my thread as I really need a solution or advice. I have problem with my gateway desktop starting up automatically when power is connected. It really annoying me, because it is not dead, still working after I set up using 'Del', reset time and date, restart it, it just normal. I have no idea, is this hardware or software prob? I did virus scanning, remove DVD, remove the power wire inside CPU, it shows everything is working, seems not hardware failure, go to scan check, there was no error found too.

Anybody have same problem as me? Can anyone give an idea?

what desktop do you have?

have you checked for stuck power button?
