Most units have the Option to get into the Acer e-recovery management through the Acer splash screen on boot. The way you do this is when you see Acer quickly hold Alt, then press F10 then release both keys. This will then show windows is loading files, once this is past it will then show a few options and you may want to pick first option to restore to Factory. If the unit in windows 8 that is another story.

Entered e-management recovery decided not to do anything now I can't get out of e-recovery please help

Hi i have acer v5-laptop that came with windows 8.1 preinstalled.i tried to install linux mint 17 and ended i think wiping the windows unfortunately it didnt come with recovery disc.how can i reset to factory settings.

if recovery and acer partition is still there, you can try to boot pressing ALT+F10 to enter erecovery management and reinstall windows.

if you deleted all the partitions, you need to order erecovery merdia from Acer:
