Aspire E380-CB7l OP XP Pro self installed OP was Vista

after a reinstall the dvd wont find any disks all the disk have been cleaned and polished and have no scratches. I have looked for a solution on the net but nothing positive forth coming

My computer is showing the DVD-RW Drive ( D: )

DVD-Rom Drive : LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6S

After doing a lot of research on this it seems there is no soft ware solution for this it seems to be a fault with the DVD unit.

The solution is replace it.

                    When there was no answer forthcoming I returned to searching the internet after many hours I finaly stumbled upon another web site/forum that offerd the same solution as you just did and low and behold if fixed the problem.
