On my Acer DA061L Boxer AM2 61 motherboard, the SATA 2 connector pins and plastic covering are broke. Will I need to replace the motherboard?

There is no alternative mainboard for that machine at emachines. My suggestion is that you look a mainboard with similar specs. Look at your processor first and look for the mainboard that your processor will fit in...it doesnt have to be an emachile mainboard because I can pressume that machine is out of warranty already as that model was released in 2008.

You can buy SATA 2 connector from RS or Farnell( or take from some old motherboard) and give some specialist to resolder it, or do your self if you know how to.
