Aspire X3990 backup while in use?

The Drive Indicator light on my Aspire X 3990 flashes almost continuously. Can I safely backup data while the light is flashing?

Yes. You can perform a backup.

Just a thought.......why does the drive indicator light flash so much? It blinks almost continuously.

The drive activity light simply indicates when the drive is active.

Windows and other applications are writing things into RAM and the cache on disk pretty regularly. This is normal.

This does not indicate that there is something wrong, or that you are unable to perform any tasks.

The Accept as solution link is immediately below the Reply button on posts. Thanks.
