Hi everyone,I'm new to the forum and I would like to upgrade my Aspire X3810 CPU/motherboard to an i5 3570. Is there a

motherboard that would fit in the case? If not which faster cpu the current motherboard with Q8300 would support?

Hi Ahmet,

You may have trouble finding a different mainboard that will go into your ASX3810 Case. I suppose you would need to look at the micro desktop mainboards.

Your Q8300 CPU can be upgraded to :

Q9300 PGA 2.5G 1333FSB 95W 6M

Q9400 2.66G 6M 1333FSB 95W R0 SLB6B

Intel Yorkfield Q9650 2.83G 12M 1333FSB 95W

Intel Yorkfield Q9650 3.0G SLB8W

Hello again, thank you for your prompt reply.I may go with the Q9650 cpu.I probably have to replace memory, presently it has 1066Mhz PC3-8500. All the micro sized 1155 motherboards I found have he cpu mount in middle of the board approximately, which is a bad location-right under the DVD-ROM. I was hoping possibly another member may have looked into. X3810 is a good looking case with small footprint to have next to the TV and has lots of USB connections,etc. Shame it's so hard to upgrade. As a

senior I'm looking for a few more years of use. Any other info is appreciated. Thank you for your efforts. Ahmet.
