Hi guys my acer M3985 psu just got fried last week i need your advice what power supply should i choose i'm not sure if a high quality like corsair or other brands would fit ... any ideas what should i do ?

Any type of PSU will be fine for your M3985, as long as it's not too cheap. The Corsair or similar will be fine. Go for a minimum of 300 watts, unless you plan to upgrade your graphics card. If you do, go for around 500-600 watts.

Your suggested replacement seems fine to me (assuming it meets power requirements as noted by finlux - more power = less stress). Your current PSU will be either 300W or 500W depending on spec. The newegg picture shows the PSU upside down. In the Acer it will have the fan facing down and the power socket to the left. The PSU on/off switch is the isolator and would normally remain on at all times. Normal PC on/off would be from the front side switch as you do now. It should be a straight replacement.
