Acer Aspire Z3-605-UR20 Memory Specifications

I recently bought an Acer Aspire Z3-605-UR20. The datasheet online says I can upgrade to 16gb of memory. I am having a hard time identifying the exact type of memory that is compatible with my machine. Can anyone help me narrow it down?

Hi eschenbacher!

Download & install Crucial's Scanner . This program will tell you exactly what RAM you need, and make recommendations for you.

The link is for the UK site, but you can change to your country by clicking the flag in the top left corner of the page.

Hope this helps!

out of curiosity; were you able to upgrade your memory?  I can't figure out how to open the case of my z3-605 to get to the memory slots.

i am puzzled by the same thing - unable to open the thing...

there are screws in the back, and also on the bottom of the leg. removing the latter ones seems to allow the panel to lift up a bit, but not to a point where it can be opened...

Re: Acer Aspire Z3-605-UR20 Memory Specifications

Hello, I saw the comments here and thought I'd throw my input in . . .

On the back of the ACER Z3-605, there is a cover piece which looks attached to the stand, it has the ACER logo imprinted on it, and you will see some venting on the top side of the piece.

Get something that you can hook up into the venting, needlenose pliers, spudger, etc. and pull towards yourself. The cover will pop right off and you will see the screw mountings for the stand. Remove the (3) screws and you will release the tension on the back cover. Remove cover and TADA! you have access to the internals.

Hope this helps!
