Hello

I have a Aspire AME 600 where my hard drive died, i ordered a set of recovery CDS and trying to reinstall on a new drive. The process goes well untill it restarts after install and it gives me a error box saying " The Computer restarted unexpectadely or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and than restart the installation" I checked and re checked and re did the setup few times and still nothing. I have no clue why.... the installation goes smooth untill it asks to restart. Any one with any ideas?

I had to replace my hard drive and had to buy and use recovery disks from the Acer store. I'm having what might be a similar problem.  I am using the recoery disks for an Acer Aspire 6930.  After completion of all disks it starts what looks like a normal start up then gives the following error " Windows could not complete the installation. To Install Windows on this computer, restart the installation"

I have also called technical support, and they won't help me untill i pay $100 for one time support. I call that BS.  Does anyone know why we get this error??? All i want is to put the system back to original factory setting.
