Hello,
I'm interested to buy the Acer Aspire 5600U (23" monitor) all in one computer. However, I cannot find any documentation that says it has NFC in it.
So does the Acer Aspire 5600U have NFC in addition to Bluetooth 4.0 and a DVD read/write drive?
Thanks.

No, the Aspire 5600U does not support near field communications.
I'm curious how you would be attempting to use NFC with a desktop. Could you elaborate?

Hi,
Too bad the 5600U doesn't have NFC....the 7600U does, but the 27" screen is too big ... The 5600 U with it's 23" would have been perfect. I intend to buy a NFC phone. I use my current cell phone to synchronise with my office computer using a cable or bluetooth. I also have a set of NFC headphones, that I wanted to use with my future PC. From what I understand about NFC, it works the same way as bluetooth, however it has a shorter range (which doesn't matter as you're sitting in front of the pc) with the advantage of not having to scan & pair the gadgets. NFC would automatically synchronise my phone & PC by just placing my phone near the NFC chip.
I'd love to have your professional inputs on the advantages/disadvantages of NFC versus bluetooth.
Thanks in advance for your help.
