Hi
Have you got some Unknown devices in Device Manager?
You can also try to reinstal drivers what can be found on http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers .
If this doesnt help try restore pc to factory settings.

Hi!
First off, thanks for the response!
Secondly, i had a radeon 6970 plugged into the pci express x16 slot with the original PSU in it and as soon as i took the GPU out the wifi card began working and the computer recognizes it. I would like some of your imput as to why this occurs. My thoughts are that the GPU takes too much power (as the stock PCU is only 300w) and the wifi card does not get enough power, another thought is that the GPU has an address conflict with the wifi card. any help would be nice as i eventually would like to have that GPU in the computer at full function with the wifi working as i am not close enough to my Internet source for Ethernet connectivity. i have purchased a 630W PSU from newegg that will arrive today so the card will be fully connected and i can continue troubleshooting it. i would love to talk with you through this problem and get some feedback!

Hi.
630 W should be fine, 300 W is much too low specialy if you play in games. This graphic card on max load use about 301W. But if you dont play your wi-fi card should work without problems, cos if you running just windows GPU take about 100W.
You can also try go to BIOS and Load default settings, try if its help. Also you can try without graphic card uninstall drivers for wi-fi card, switch off pc and install youd GPU, switch on again and check if windows start looking for hardware, or you can replace your wi-fi card to another slot.

sorry, the reason the GPU wasnt working was the pins for extra power were not connected as the stock PSU dose not have the connections. it was running purely of the pci express slot with no extra power.
