Virtual BT Support
Bluetooth LWFLT Device
for Aspire AT3-600-UR33
Acer Support said I should have updated new drivers before I upgraded the OS on my brand new computer. I HAD run Windows Update. Was I supposed to go through every driver on my PC by hand?!!" They suggested I roll the system back to 8.0, update the drivers, and then go back to 8.1. Sounds like the nuclear option to me, and from what I read on a related thread, it won't work anyway as their ARE no drivers for 8.1. I just spent a good amount of time getting the system set up the way I like it and am loathe to wipe it out.
If this is a known issue (and I see similar threads here) Acer and Microsoft should be warning their customers. What are the chances of new drivers coming?

UPDATE: I was able to fix the problem with the drivers WITHOUT rolling back to Windows 8 as instructed by Acer Support. The solution was supplied by DimitryNemirovsky:

When I went to the website I got all kinds of flags about downloading and now I am unsure what to do... I can do without the update so I really do not want to take risk from somewhere I do not know or really trust... Will Acer or Qualcomm be providing a update for windows 8.1??

All I can tell you is that it worked in my case and I didn't have any problems (security or otherwise).
