acer aspire one cloudbook 14 Black Screen but works through HDMI

Not really sure if im in the right forum but, I recently purchased a Acer Aspire one Cloudbook 14 model# AO1-431-C8G8 I am pretty sure I need to replace the screen but just wanted a second opinion before I did so... Everythinbg on laptop works great but screen, I can only use with external moniter via HDMI such as my TV or other HDMI capable moniters... Is there any trick I should try before replacing screen? I've already tried resetting battery, ive tried holding power button and doing hard reset... I've made sure it wasn't a backlight issue by testing screen with bright flash light... Only thing I haven't tried is flashing BIOS but from what I read that is only necessary on older modle Apire One's... Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

We don’t recommend flashing the BIOS as this likely would not fix the issue. Based on the info provided it appears the video card is functional but the problem is with the LCD itself, since you can output video via HDMI, and this would require repair.
