    My chromebook has developed a blank on screen. I have tried escape and tried to switch off. Nothing happens. It was fully charged at the time. I thought about taking the battery out and putting in again but there is no obvious battery compartment.

      Unplug it.

       

      See if the "running" light is on.  If it is on, hold down the power switch for 2 minutes.  

       

      If it doesn't turn off, press and hold down both the refresh (F4) and power switch until the "running" light turns off. 

      If it still doesn't turn off phone Acer tech support.

       

      If it does turn off, wait one minute, then try turning it on.

       

      If it starts up and the screen is still black, plug it back in and phone Acer tech support.
