My 6 month old chromebook 14 has recently developed the problem of randomly dropping the wi-fi connection for several minutes at a time. Sometime (about 30% of the time) it’s very slow to connect to the wifi after either a power-up or wake from sleep, taking between 1 to 3 minutes to connect. The problem seems to be random but is occurring more and more often.

I don't believe the problem is my router (netgear r6300v2), because my other chromebook (Dell 11) always works flawlessly and connects to the wifi within a few seconds after power-up or wake from sleep mode, and the same is true for my android phone.

I have flushed the browser cache and I have performed a Power Wash of the system (twice) with no effect. I have switched from 5ghz to 2.4ghz and tried changing the channels of both bands, but the problem still persists.

Any help would be appreciated.
