I am curious as to being able to have a complete shut down in case I have to replace the screen or battery (yes, you can) on this model. Does anyone know the answer to this?  Thanks.

Hello sirzune,

You can do complete shutdown by clicking "Shut down" button from the Start Menu, and unplug your battery charger from your laptop and remove the laptop battery. This will give you proper way before replacing hardware from your laptop.
