Chromebook

Whenever I turn on my acer chromebook, I get the chrome logo and then the screen goes black. It's still lit up but is all black. I can sometimes get the cursor on the screen but it doesn't do anything. I've tried taking out the battery to do a hard reset and it doesn't work. This problem had been going on for a few weeks.
