Can't connect to network

[ Editado ]

I have an Acer Chromebook. I am able to capture the Verizon Jetpack but am unable to connect to the network with Chrome. I can connect to the network with my pc. The jet pack connects to router WIFI. I thought that this may be a network security issue with Verison but they say it is an Acer problem.Has anyone had this problem and has advice for me,

Same problem here. Won't stay connected. This issue really lowers the usefulness of my new Chromebook.

Re: Can't connect to network

The Verizon JetPack is a WiFi access point to a 3G/4G network.  It does not (or should not) be connecting to another wireless network.  If you have another wireless network, just connect to that network instead of the Verizon JetPack.

Have you attempted to reset the Chromebook OS?

Yes,I reset the Chromebook with a factory reset as directed. I dont understand why the initial connection drops 1 sec after connection I suspect a network security issue with the jetpack.

Re: Can't connect to network

Are you saying that if there is  standard wifi connection and a jet pack 4g connnection that the chromebook will drop the attempted 4g connection to go to the wifi connection. I connect with wifi fine, but want to use the jetpack to connect where there is no wifi,

Re: Can't connect to network

If the system is connecting to another WiFi AP or router without issue, then it does not sound like a hardware issue with the Chromebook wireless card.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to suggest that you talk to the Verizon folks about the Jetpack protocols and any encryption that may be affecting the connectivity of the Chromebook.
