In trying to install a working GeForce GTX 750 Ti video card into my Acer Aspire M3970, I recieve the splash screen and what appears to be a POST beep. Then 30 secs later another POST beep, and 30 seconds later a 3rd. Then the screen goes black and I get just a flashing cursor in the top left corner of the screen.

I have upgraded the BIOS to the most current.

I have also tried a Radeon HD7790 and it would not show video at all.

Can someone please assist with getting this card, that I know works as others have discussed their successes, working on my PC?

Thx,

Ratenef

    Hello,

Do you have a power supply of 300 or 500W?

Hi.  I realize that this is an old question, but after my own struggles with this I wanted to post how I got this to work.

I have an Aspire M3985 and recently upgraded to an EVGA GeForce 750 TI sc video card and had the exact issues you described.  I was able to get the system to boot with video (and use this card) by entering the BIOS and disabling Quiet Boot.

The only remaining problem I am having is that with this card installed I cannot access the BIOS, so have to swap another card in to acccess the BIOS.
