    • acer e5-771g ubuntu instalation problem

    Hello. I can't install ubuntu as second OS (have windows 10). When installing appears black screen. Have tried to turn off the secure boot, it doesn't help.

    What should i do?

      When you enter grub, press E on the option you want to select, this will open a new window where you can edit the boot parameters. Find the words "quiet splash" and replace them with "nomodeset", then press F10 or CTRL + X to boot. After installing Ubuntu you'll either have to install the proprietary Nvidia drivers or permanently change the boot options to have "nomodeset" instead of "quiet splash".
