USB Ports Failure - Aspire XC-780

Hi,

I have turned my Aspire XC-780 machine ON and have found that none of the USB ports are working. There is power on each port but there is no install response when a USB device is plugged in.

The machine was working correctly for the last 6 months, turning on and off with no issue. Running W10.

I have tried wireless and wired keyboards & mice, Printer, external drives, all have no effect.

The computer in all other respects starts normally and sits on the desktop screen normally. Wifi & wired network connected and working. It just looks like the USB function is disabled. Without this I can do nothing to investigate further as all peripherals are USB. I can't even access the BIOS setup etc.
Any ideas? Is this a hardware fault? Computer is less than 1 year old.
