XC-705 No BIOS screen after adding dedicated GPU

Member Posts: 2 New User

I bought a dedicated GPU (AMD R7 250) for my XC-705. Since this upgrade I have to minor problems:

1. I have no screen during boot. The display appears as soon as windows starts, but not on boot time. So I can't access the BIOS and I don't see the acer bootlogo

2. Windows reports 2 attached screens, but I only have one.

The integrated Intel HD 4600 GPU seems to be automatically disabled. Windows doesn't show it anymore on the Device Manager.

I tried tried to attach the monitor back to the onboard HDMI and see if the BIOS is displayed there. But this output doesn't show up anything since i added the new GPU.

I already have the latest BIOS Version P11.B4 installed.

    Found the solution:

Disable Secure Boot in BIOS Setting and Enable the "Launch CMS" option. Everything is working fine now
