I am trying to hook up my Samsung 5201 smart tv as a second monitor to my aspire xc-603 and the tv keeps saying no signal. I am not computer savy and really need a second screen.

right click on your desktop, choose Display settings

can you see PC monitor and TV listed or just the PC monitor?

I am using windows 10 and it shows dual monitor in settings but only lists monitor. When i hit detect it says no other monitor detected. I thought that the aspire xc-603 had the capabilty to have two monitors? Do I need to install a driver? I really am lost, I have had other computers that I have had multiple monitors hooked up.

have you already updated your VGA drivers to windows 10 version?

select windows 10 as operating system and download VGA drivers.

I don't know if it will work....but you can try to:

1.Press and hold the windows key and then tap the p key on your keyboard.

    2. On the right hand side of your screen, select "extended" or "duplicate"

My TV is a dumb tv.  I have to go in to tv settings and tell it which HDMI port and then I have to change a tv setting so it acts like a computer monitor.  I don't have your computer so not sure if your computer supports multiple monitors.

I've been chasing this for a while now (months) on Windows 10, and this is the first time someone mentioned the Windows Key and the P key. As soon as I did this, and used the HDMI connector adapter, I could use both monitors on my Acer Aspire XC 603G system. Great!! Thanks!!!
