image.jpegMessage recently updated 01/01/16 - I have successfully upgraded my Aspire T180 desktop to Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. On the motherboard is a mini PCIe slot which I would like to utilize to expand on some memory or some other useful upgrade. Please share your experiences with regard to this slot. Here is a picture of the motherboard.

    Hi DKBurroughs

I've not heard the PCIe slot to be used for memory upgrades before! If you want to increase performance, but your motherboard is maxed out on memory, you can use an unused USB memory stick for Readyboost.

A PCI/PCIe slot is basically used for expansion cards, IE - Graphics Cards, Sound Cards, TV tuners, USB ports, SATA extensions, etc etc.
