Is there a maximum sized replacement hard drive that you can put into an Aspire 7741G?

My Aspire came with a 640Gb drive which failed recently. I would like to put a 1Tb drive in it's place. Will the BIOS be able to reference it? Do I need to partition it into 2 smaller drives first?

Hello, While looking over your system I found out. Starting size matters...

Hard disk drive 160/250/320/500/640 GB or larger hard disk drive

However It just says Or Larger and don't go into details if there is a max size. Just remember that there is always Reserve space when you Format a Drive and install your software..
