I replaced the processor on acer aspire m3201 and now it won't power up

Hi there I replaced the processor on my aser aspire with a like processor now the desktop won't power up.the power supply is working.the fans kick on for a second and when I press the power button nothing happens other than the hard drive indicated light lights up but when I release the button the light goes out.I checked to make sure the processor is seated.I also checked the pins on the processor and pins are straight. I cleaned the dust off the fans and heat sink.I accidentally dropped the fan with heatsink and now it won't start so I replaced with a different fan with HSINK and it still won't start.I'm going to replace the fan with an original asap.I'm wondering if the pc won't start cuz the fan HSINK is not the same?is this possible?

Depends if the system recognise the new fan or not, BIOS normally prevent booting if the CPU fan is not recognised.

be sure that the new CPU is compatible with your motherboard too.
