I have an Acer Aspire XC-603 that came with Windows 10 and want to install Windows 7 instead.

To do this, I need to enable Launch CSM in the BIOS, a feature the current BIOS doesn't have. So I headed over to Acer's website where it explained that I needed to update the BIOS (http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/33958/~/how-to-enable-launch-csm-on-the-aspire-xc-603%28g%29)

Downloaded my Firmware from the website: http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers#_ga=1.28829180.196628485.1463350244

And followed the directions...

(Although the instructions don't imply, I unzipped the downloaded zip file, BIOS_Acer_P11.B2_A_A, onto the desktop.)

From the included README_Win.pdf file:

>Windows Flash Utility SOP

>v1.2

>1. Please enter “WIN” folder and select “Flash.bat”.

>2. Please double click ”Flash.bat”.

>3. The system will prompt a command window and select “Yes” to continue process.

>4. Please wait BIOS update process. Please restart your system after updating BIOS completely.

>5. When you see the LOGO or hear one short beep, please press “Delete” to enter BIOS Setup Menu.

>6. Change page to “Exit”.

>7. Select “Load Default Setting” and press “Enter”. Select “Yes” to load default settings.

>8. Select “Save & Exit Setup” and press “Enter”.

>9. Select “Yes” to restart.

The entire process *seems* successful; unfortunately, there is still no Launch CSM option in the BIOS.

(I have tried quite a few times. I've even tried just coping the files to the root drive (c:/) and running the .bat file from there, with no luck.

Am I doing something wrong? Does the location of the Flash.bat file matter? What am I missing?

Thanks-in-advance!
