Aspire ZS600G All-in-one recovery disks didn't work

Initiated use of the recovery disks today, and after selecting language, the next screen shows 2 grayed out options, "restore o/s to factory defaults" or "completely restore computer to factory update", and exit. The exit button is the only option that works. How do I  get the first 2 options to function to be able to us the remaining  disks?

     I have the same problem. Just got the disks today. Imagine my chagrin when I got THAT on the menu. I think it is because the hard drive is shot. I bought some Hd repair software, and it doesnt recognize the drive either.. It could also be something to do with Windows 8/10.  I had recently done the Windows 10 upgrade, and voila.. 2 days later, the hard drive crashed.  I hope SOMEONE at ACER sees this thread and gives us some hope!

    as pdp31359 said, can be a dead HDD or a need of wiped HDD from the recovery disks.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
