Yes you'll be able to install this processor on your motherboard (same heatsink too). FYI, the latest bios version is P01.A2.

    Your motherboard is this one:

    Hi,

Could you please tell us the current CPU in your PC.

Current cpu is an AMD Athlon II X2 215. I know the X1301 was also sold with an AMD Athlon II X3 425. I would like to upgrade to a quad core cpu, if possible. Also planning on installing a separate video card.

Do you know if all of these cpu will work with the motherboard MB DA061/087L EUP

                                                                                                   08120-3            0934-42-21

                                                                                                  48.3V006.031          P&Q

                                                                                                                           CM-194V-0

                                                                                                                           E162264?

Just want to make sure before I buy the new AMD Phenom II X4 945 processor. I know it will fit in the socket, but want to make sure the bios will support it.

    Hi egallagher66,

The motherboard serial number should start with MBSC... Could you give me the first ten characters? Only the first ten.

    Hello laurent_14,

You answered all my questions about being able to upgrade the cpu on an Aspire X1301.  Now I have a question about the maximum ram and speed of ram I can use?

    Thanks,

For this question, I would need the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

    Hello,

First thanks for these informations. Your desktop supports up to 4Gb - DDR2 - 800MHz (2x2Gb).

Here are some compatible memory modules:

FYI, all models of this series were shipped with a PSU of 220W as yours: Processors 65 or 95W and with/without graphics boards according to the configuration. As I can see, your desktop isn't equipped with a graphic board so it's not necessary to replace the PSU.

    Thanks again Laurent_14
I know it has integrated graphics, but I plan on adding a graphics card. Also the Phenom II X4 945 processor you listed as compatible for what I found on the internet it says is 125W. I will search some more to see if I can find one that says it is 95W.
