Aspire ATC-605-EF30 (Windows 8.1):  All USB ports disabled by Microsoft update! HELP PLEASE!

BIOS (UEFI) is P11-AO and is accessible through Advanced Recovery Options (Alt +F10)

No Windows screens are accessible because keyboard and mouse die before that.

Please advise me on how to get out of this frustrating trap!  Thank you in advance!

if you are able to enter recovery options pressing ALT+F10 at boot, try to select Troubleshoot - Adavanced options - System restore

check if you are able to load a previous restore point and if USB ports work; you can also try to reboot to Safe mode and uninstall the windows update that killed your USB ports.

Thank you, Ironfly.  Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't provide enough historical restore points (and I foolishly did not manually create an older one) for that solution to work. Trying to restore to January 15 (Critical update and the oldest one available) always results in a failed restore.  At this point the only access is via alt + f10 because pressing DEL won't even get me to the BIOS (UEFI) anymore.  I am trying to avoid wiping everything, but I wonder if that would even work...?  Safe mode is never accessible.

A related question might be:  where does Microsoft Outlook keep e-mails? If I could pull the hard drive and access those e-mails somehow without needing to start up Oulook, then I would blow off everything else and start again from zero with the ATC-605-EF30. Thanks again!

Yes, that is possible, and, after failing to find any other way, that was what I reluctantly chose to do. Now (in Outlook 2016) I can't find any of those e-mails or any of the original contacts. Everthing is EMPTY. Thank you kindly, though, for your help with the Acer part of the problem.  Now I have a serious Microsoft Outlook problem and must go to a different forum, I guess...
