Acer aspire V3 571G no boot - power button flashes once

I can't seem to find anything about the acer error messages. The power button flashing once when I try to boot should mean something, but there does not seem to be a relevant help page.
Is this a mobo issue?
Any input would be appreciated.

Hi,
Take out the battery, press the Power button for few seconds, leave it to rest, try booting and see whether it fixes the problem.
If that doesn't help, get the battery and the AC adpter checked by a professional in a local repair shop.
