Acer Aspire T3-710 - does it support 32Gb RAM ?
Tinkerer
Hi,
I recently purchased a T3-710 (SNID ************* if that helps) and wondered if I could replace the 2 x 8Gb modules with 2 x 16Gb to take me up to 32Gb ?
Is this possible as the online memory manufacturers' scanning tools seem to suggest it only supports a max of 16Gb whereas the advertising specs state 32Gb ?
Many thanks

The official specs say 32.
Acer says 32. Crucial says 16.
I don't have a T3-710 or that mainboard. I don't work for Acer.........so I can't give you a definitive answer.
If I had that computer, I would assume that if I had the latest BIOS, 32 would work (if you can find compatible 16 GB modules). If for some reason it didn't I would send the memory back.
It may be a situation where a 16 GB module will work, but there aren't any compatible 16 GB modules available that will work. Compatible being the key word here. You can't just stick any 16 GB ram module in there.
Might be safer to just stick with Crucial or Kingston 8x2=16 total ram.

Would anyone know the answer to this please ? I'm getting conflicting information and don't want to spend out on 2 x 16Gb modules if they're not supported.
Thanks

I can't believe anybody from Acer cannot tell me the answer ?
This has been unanswered for over two weeks now and I'm still none the wiser

Hi Jordan,
Many thanks for the detailed reply.
I've decided I'm going to gamble and order 2 x 16Gb modules and take it from there. As you say, worst case, I can always return them.

The link below is the only thing I could find that ***might*** possibly work. I can't guarantee it will work.

I would email them and ask them.

This is the DDR3L 1333 part on Amazon. Although it technically meets the spec.....UDIMM, non ECC, 1600/1333 DDR3L, 240 pin, I don't know if it will work. It's expensive!!

I edited my previous post to reflect that the Amazon part # is for 1333 not 1600....which shouldn't matter.
The 15E is 1333
The 125 is 1600

Once again, thanks for all your help with this Jordan.
I'm in the UK so will ascertain if it's cost-effective to have the modules shipped from the US (although they're now only showing one in stock).

I don't speak or read German, but I think the European Amazon part is in link below. Probably wouldn't hurt to email them so you don't waste your time.
