Acer Aspire One D255E can't boot from a usb stick any more (SOLVED)

Hi there.I had installed Ubuntu from a usb stick a couple of years ago in my computer. My netbook was able to boot from this usb stick once the bios was set up as Usb as first device. Now the bios will skip the usb unit and boot from the hdd. When pressing F12 only the hdd appears as an option. I need to run Ubuntu from the stick to enlarge the windows partition, since there is no space and I can't even install windows updates.

 

I wonder if the bios is somehow corrupted and if I should try and reset or update it. It is Insyde H20 Rev. 3.5 Utility Setup

It was the usb stick. I reinstalled the Ubuntu Iso image and the computer booted from it.
