Unfortunately NO.... This is how Android is cheating to us.

They are saying that you have a card slot but you cannot move anything....So what's the point to have a card slot?

Another reason to move to a real operation system instead of a stripped down and decontented Linux. /rant

That said it is usually the data files that are big and those you can put on the SD card, all of my music & books are there.

My Galaxy 7.0 has 8GB main and a 16GB SD card & what I need including a lot of maps for the Sat-Nav fits fine. If that were not enough I could go to a 32 GB just when I designed it they were still pricy.

    Hey, guys, what you mean?

Android, since Froyo, can install apps on SD.

Settings - Applications - move to SDCard - choose your apps.

You can't install all your apps on your SD (system apps).

You can also use a third part app, App2SD (AppMgr III now) on Play Store.

So use AppMgr, free on Play Store.

I got the same mesafe from appmgr 3 so we can not move the apps! I guess in order to do that we have to root.

I don't know why they told you that. I have jelly bean 4.1.2 and move apps with app manager. It won't move all apps, but most. Your app manager will let you select what is possible to move. Good luck.

In JB 4.2 the exSD card is seen as an augmentation of the internal SD card and you can't load apps to it, hopefully Acer will make the update to JB available which corrects this, Samsung have already rolled it out.

    Please Acer and Android,

What is the use to have an external sd card if we can't be on charge of how we want to manage pour own device

For now,  it is totally wrong, and I rather feel that you have administrative power over m'y personal device...

    Please fix this

This problem has been addressed in the 4.3 version of JB, let's hope Acer roll out the upgrade !

How come there is no solution to fix this issue ? just keep waiting for the update ?
