For a couple of years I had my music stored on my uSD card. Suddenly I had no more music that could be found. The tablet said I had no uSD card inserted. I pulled the card out and tried to read in on another computer. It was trashed. I bought a new uSD card, formatted it to FAT32, and placed it into the tablet. It worked for an hour or so. Then the tablet told me again that I did not have a uSD card inserted. I placed the uSD card back on another system and it has now become unusable, as well. Any thoughts? Is my tablet eating the cards? Thank you. LoyalW

Could it be a formatting issue? Will the other system you put the card in let you format it?
The only suggestion I have really is to try resetting the tablet and see if it is still wiping the cards.

FAT32 is ok on android.
you can try to recover your microSD using a format tool from SD association:
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
click on options and turn ON Format size adjustement

Thank you, Clyde, for the suggestion. I will take some time and figure out everything I have on the tablet and then reset it as you suggested.

That is a great website. Thank you for the link, Ironfly. Unfortunately, the uSD cards are so bad off that my Windoze computer won't even recognize that something is in the SD slot. If I put in a known-good uSD card, then the formatting program works great. With the bad cards, no letter gets assigned to the port so the formatter has nothing on which to operate.

Windows can't find SD even under Disk management?

Hi Ironfly. Well, in the PC world I am a novice, at best. How do I use or where do I find "Disk management"?
Setembro
Right click on your computer in Explorer or the start menu (if in Win7). From the context menu presented choose 'Manage' and then allow if the UAC prompt comes up. You'll see disk management under storage in the list at left.

Hi Billsey. Thank you for the instructions.
Well, when I insert a new, good uSD card I see an entry in the table of removable drives. When I insert one of the cards that has been in my A500, nothing registers except my C drive. I think the uSD cards that have been in the A500 are well and truly fried!
