Hello everybody.
I would ask people who installed update to KitKat about their experience.
Do you experience any bugs? System is working better, or not?
I see upgrade on the list, but I am confused if I want to install this.
Generally one thing stopping me to upgrade - I don't like new kitkat feature which will block free access to SD card for non-system applications. I know that this will be big disadvantage for me. If under 4.4 there is no significant improvement (in example: tablet working far better, faster, smother, etc) i will stay on 4.2 because I am rather happy with this tablet and 4.2 android.
I found somewhere in internet one opinion that after upgarde to 4.4 A810 "start flying" but this was only one vote, not confirmed.

Don't do it!
My A1-810 updated itself to Kitkat several days ago and I don't see any new features or improvement, and worse the audio now stops for about 1/2 second randomly every minute or every few minutes. The audio skip happens more often when using Bluetooth speakers, but even with the internal speakers it still does it every few minutes.
If you enjoy music esp. via Bluetooth, you will be really annoyed.
The tech support person told me there are no fixes at this time and just do a factory reset (and wipe out and redo all your apps and information).
Their testing must be so sloppy for this obvious bug to make it to end users. I will seriously consider another company when buying my next tablet!

I wouldn't upgrade yet as there is bug with audio, its skips and glitches every 10 -20 seconds, bluetooth, internal or external speakers and with any music player.

Yeah, I notice a lot of YouTube videos get garbled, too. Green bands, parts of the image have giant pixels of totally wrong brightness, etc. Some videos are worst than others. Some are watchable, others become incredibly distracting and unwatchable.
Again, do not do the uprade until Acer pushes a patch or you'll be miserable. There's no way to go back unless you root your device and install your own ROM.
Tech support told me to do a factory reset to fix the problem and it did not do squat. All it did was waste an hour or two of my life to reinstall and reconfigure a bunch of apps and my home screen.

DO NOT Upgrade!
I upgraded my A1-810 and several issues: Sluggishness for many apps, auction cuts in and out (doesnt matter if using onboard crappy speaker, headset, or external bluetooth speaker).
Wi-Fi signal level drops
AND the kicker, 3 days after the update, my A1-810 is now dead. Will not boot up, can't reset it, nothing. Woke up after having it charge through the night and it dead Jim.
tried following all of Acer's recomendations (vilumeup button + power button, popping battery out, hold power button in and then insert charger, stick a paperclip in reset button hole, etc). nothing works.
Time to switch to a real android tablet.
