Looking to upgrade my CPU on my Acer computer.

So I have this computer: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/6514?b=1&pn=DQ.B86AA.001

And I'm looking to upgrade the CPU as it is 2.4 GHz and I need at least 3.0 GHz to play a new game I got.

Now, I have no experience with upgrading computers or searching for the products I need, but I know I need a CPU that's compatible with my motherboard (or chipset, right), and according to my Device Manager, I have a Series 100 C230 Chipset Family SATA AHCI.

I don't know what that means to me, but i do know I need a CPU compatible with that. When looking at http://processormatch.intel.com/MotherBoards/Index/ none of the devices listed matched the Chipset I had, so I'm probably missing something somewhere. I just need to upgrade my CPU to above a 3.0 GHz (maybe 3.2 - 3.6?).

Any and all help will be much appreciated! Thank you!

Also, I don't know how much it matters, but I found these on NewEgg, but i have no idea if they're compatible with my computer or not: https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100007671%2050001157%204814%20601295141%20600005730%20600298519%20600005731%20600439417%20600298518%20600476181%20600456575%20600454224%20600030236

    Hello,

    • The chipset is an Intel H110.
    • Your motherboard is designed for Kaby Lake processors so I don't know if it supports Skylake processors.
    • The thermal module TDP is 35W.
    • You can install an I7-7700T with the same thermal module and without any problems. This processor is the most powerful of this series.

The most powerful is a 2.9 GHz? I only ask because the GHz I needed for the game recommended 3.0, and I don't know how big a gap there is between 2.9 and 3.0
